Stolen Car Suspect Taken Into Custody After Chase
HACIENDA HEIGHTS (CBS) — A stolen car suspect was taken into custody Wednesday night after a chase through Orange County that ended in Hacienda Heights.
The suspect was taken into custody after more than an hour after a high-speed pursuit in which the suspect took highways and surface streets.
The chase began just after 8 p.m. when police tried to pull over a 2005 Honda that had been reported stolen in Industry, according to Sgt. Brian Yamaguchi of the Placentia Police Department.
The chase went through Anaheim and Industry as well as Placentia, Yorba Linda, the 57 Freeway and into Los Angeles County.
The chase ended when police threw down spike strips.
The suspect was taken to the Placentia Police Department.
