Firefighters responded to the blaze at the San Carlos warehouse around 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Belmont-San Carlos Fire Chief Doug Fry says the 10,000-square-foot building only contained items belonging to Young and his family, including six vintage cars and paintings.

While some crews began tackling the blaze at the front of the warehouse, Fry says others went to the back to try to pull items out. It's not clear how much of the memorabilia was salvaged.

The fire was extinguished by 3:45 a.m.

Fry says fire officials are working with Young's representatives to remove what's left.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
