4th Annual Job Fair Held To Benefit US Veterans

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — It's hard enough to find a job if you're one of the millions of Americans out of work. Veterans have it doubly hard.

Statistics say the jobless rate for veterans 18-24 in California is 25.9%, more than double the national average.

To put a dent in these appalling numbers, US Vets are holding their 4th annual "Honor A Hero, Hire A Vet" job fair on November 10.

Attendees get to meet and interview with employers, obtain benefits and training and career information.

Organizers say they've matched up 6,000 veterans with jobs over the past four years.

This year's event will be held at the Proud Bird Event Center, 11022 Aviation Boulevard, Los Angeles, 90045 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
