Lake Arrowhead (CBS 2) — Hours after a brush fire broke in Colton, San Bernardino County fire officials got word of another brush fire burning west of Lake Arrowhead Saturday evening.
The blaze has already burned 40 acres. It ignited near the intersection of Highway 18 and Upper Waterman Road.
Crews from the Forest Service were responding with firefighters and helicopters. They’ve established a water line around the fire and officials said they don’t expect the fire to get any bigger.
There were no reports of injuries or evacuations.
Highway 18 is closed in both directions between Upper and Lower Waterman Canyon.
