San Bernardino Deputies Kill Fugitive Sex Offender
VICTORVILLE (AP) — San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies have shot and killed a fugitive sex offender they say pulled a handgun when they tried to arrest him.
The Daily Press in Victorville says 41-year-old Nathaniel Henry of Lucerne Valley was killed Thursday afternoon after deputies went to a home in the unincorporated community to look for him.
Authorities say that Henry, who was a registered sex offender on parole for rape, cut off his GPS monitor ankle bracelet in September.
Lucerne Valley is about 20 miles east of Victorville.
