$50 And A Cell Phone: Weatherman To Trek Across USA

SAN DIEGO (CBS) — After a remarkably successful first go-round a little more than a year ago, "The Early Show" 's intrepid weather anchor, Dave Price, is about to set out on a weeklong, one-man reality show we call "No Way Home."

He's heading out on the road with only a one-way ticket, $50, some technical devices (including a Windows Phone provided by Microsoft to record his travels) and his ingenuity to get him back home to New York.

As he did last time, Dave will rely, in large part, on his wit, wits and the kindness of strangers to help him along in his journey.

The official rules:

— Dave only has $50 cash for his entire trip.

— He will travel with a backpack, laptop, and cell phone.

— No credit cards, no IOUs, no calling Mom or Dad and asking for a loan.

— No one individual or corporation can help Dave travel more than 1,000 miles in the lower 48 states. Outside the contiguous U.S., the max is 1,500 miles. (This includes commercial airline flights)

— If Dave earns money he can spend it as he likes!

Last year, Dave's starting point was the Santa Monica Pier in California.
