Honda Says U.S. Sales Rose Nearly 20 Percent In 1 Year

TORRANCE (AP) — American Honda Motor Co. said Wednesday its U.S. auto sales in October rose 19.8 percent from a year ago, led by the Accord model.

Honda sold 98,811 vehicles last month, up from 85,502 in October 2009.

Sales of the Accord increased to 24,344 in October from 23,210 last year.

Sales of the Odyssey minivan jumped 52 percent to 9,955.
