Another Hot Day!

Today will most probably be the warmest of the week...and the warmest of this particular heat wave.  Temperatures downtown could reach 95 to 96 degrees.  96 is the old record.  However next week we cool right back down.  Expect temperatures to top out in the low 70's throughout much of next week.

I have to say, I am a bit of a poet and a dreamer during elections.  It doesn't matter whether you are a democrat, republican, independant, or a member of the tea party...the peaceful transfer of power is what makes our nation special and unique.  Now that most of the votes are in...and the results have been announced, let's work on bringing out nation together.  Let's work on seeing the things that unite us rather than the things the divide us.  I know it's tough to step outside of your personal construct, but maybe take this time to think about what life is like on the other side of the aisle.  Imagine how it might feel to walk in someone elses shoes.
