STANTON, Calif. (AP) — A 67-year-old Orange County woman was killed after she lost control of a go kart-like vehicle and veered into traffic on busy street in Stanton.

Fullerton Woman Killed In Accident Involving Go Kart-Type Vehicle, KNX 1070’s Ed Mertz reports.

Sheriff’s Lt. Lloyd Downing said Sunday that Hwa Oh, of Fullerton, was with family members in the parking lot of a swap meet Saturday evening when she decided to take a turn on the vehicle.

Oh lost control of the cart and ran through some bushes, across a sidewalk and onto Beach Boulevard, where she was struck by a car.

She was declared dead at a hospital.

Oh’s daughter, Cindy Morrow, told the Orange County Register that her mother was a good driver, but speculated that she became nervous and couldn’t control the vehicle.

No citations were issued.

    WHERE WERE THE PARENTS???

  • FLF

No citations were issued -but the owners of the mall on Beach Blvd will most likely be involved in a HUGE lawsuit that will bankrupt the owner of it and throw EVERYONE out of work. This you can make BOOK on! Unscrupulous lawyers will get ahold of it along with very NAIVE family members who will fall for every line of BS thrown at em by the ambulance chasers!

I live behind the swap meet and unfornately drag racing happens every weekend. We have complained numerous times. I am shocked that this was a grown woman of 67 years. NO wonder the kids are out of control! She should have used common sense — its a swap meet NOT a race park! Duhhhhhhhhhh
