Fast-Moving Storm Brings Wet Weather To The Southland

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A flood advisory has been lifted Saturday in Los Angeles County, after a fast-moving storm brought rain and fog to foothill areas, the National Weather Service reported.

According to the NWS, rain is expected to continue tapering off into the afternoon, as the brunt of the system moves through the Southland.

Rainfall estimates for the storm range from one-quarter to two-thirds of an inch across an area including Los Angeles County, with possibly higher amounts up to one inch on south-facing foothill and mountain locations.

Snow levels are expected to remain above 7,500 to 8,000 feet elevation in the mountains. Winds could gust to 40 miles per hour at times, according to the Weather Service.
