LOS ANGELES (CBS) — One person was critically injured Saturday night in a fire at a South Los Angeles home, a city fire official said.
The fire, which was reported at 9:22 p.m., broke out in the 5200 block of South Ascot Avenue, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
“One resident was rescued and taken to a hospital in critical condition,” Humphrey said.
With 25 firefighters on the scene, the blaze was out in 15 minutes, he said.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
