Man Arrested For Allegedly Fondling Girl On Bus
COSTA MESA (AP) — Investigators say a man arrested for trying to unzip a girl's pants on a Southern California bus had been boarding commuter buses much of the day in an apparent hunt for passengers to molest.
Sheriff's deputies arrested 55-year-old Herath Premaratnea for investigation of sexual battery on Thursday evening as he exited an Orange County Transportation Authority bus in Costa Mesa.
Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino says the Los Angeles man and a companion are believed to have boarded buses as many as 10 times on Monday with the sole purpose of fondling girls. Security video shows them touching at least two girls.

The Orange County Register says a 16-year-old girl told deputies she was riding the when a man began to unzip her pants.
