Suicide Is Painless But Is The ‘MASH’ Hike?

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Park rangers on Saturday will lead hikes in Malibu Creek State Park, to the site where TV’s “M*A*S*H” was shot.

The hikes begin at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Jeff Maxwell (he played Igor, the cook) will attend.

Tickets for this fundraiser: $25. (Groups limited to 50 people.)

The hike benefits California State Parks Foundation. Many state parks are endangered by budget cuts and slashed services.

For more information, call (877) 663-0566.

Or go to the California State Parks site:

There, you will also find information about the group’s film program which also benefits the parks.

It’s a great hike and not too difficult. It so much fun to see the landing site, the ambulance that was left behind after the area was burned in a wildfire during MASHs last season. But to go with Jeff Maxwell and get the chance to have him point out where everything is would be awesome. And support our parks by voting yes on Prop 21.
