Stars To Shine For Kids With AIDS Halloween Event

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The Children Affected By AIDS Foundation (CAAF) will hold their 17th annual monster mash, uh, party this Saturday at the Barker Hangar from 5-8 p.m.

CAAF is never short of monsters, uh, celebrities who turn up and out to lend a helping hand to kids in need.

This year, confirmed to attend include stars of stage, screen, TV and the music world including Jamie Lee Curtis (the host), Tori Spelling, Travis Barker, Brooke Burke ("Dancing With the Stars"), Gilles Marini ("Sex and the City," "Brothers and Sisters"), James Denton ("Desperate Housewives"), Ali Sweeney ("Days of Our Lives," "The Biggest Loser"), Melissa Rivers and Doris Roberts ("Everybody Loves Raymond") just to name a few.

John Gile, president of CAAF, was an in-studio guest on the KCAL 9 News at Noon Wednesday to discuss the event, the stars and how his organization meets the needs of kids, both medical and social.

More than 2,000 attend this event anually including kids, parents, celebrities and a couple of ghosts and goblins tossed in for good measure.

Volunteer positions have been filled.
