Wife Of 'America's Got Talent' Auditioner Found Dead In LA Hotel

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police say the wife of a man trying out for "America's Got Talent" has been found dead at a hotel where the auditions were being held.

Lt. Paul Vernon says 48-year-old Laura Finley was found dead after tumbling down a stairwell of the Millennium Biltmore Hotel on Saturday morning. A preliminary coroner's report says her death appears accidental but Vernon says it's still unclear whether she fell, jumped or was pushed.

He says the woman's husband, 47-year-old Joseph Finley, woke and reported his wife missing, then decided to attend the audition.

Police later notified him of his wife's death. Vernon says Finley told them the couple used Ecstasy the night before. Finley was booked for possessing the drug and released on bail.
