LAKE ELSINORE (AP) — A registered sex offender has been arrested on suspicion of murder after showing up at a Riverside County sheriff’s station with a woman’s body in the trunk of his car.

Jason Richard Budrow was arrested Friday morning after flagging down a sheriff’s sergeant at the Lake Elsinore station and telling the sergeant he had a dead woman in his car.

Authorities did not immediately release the woman’s name or information about how long she had been dead or how she died.

The state corrections department says the 30-year-old suspect was on parole and in compliance with his registration requirements.

Budrow’s booking photo shows a tattoo of the numbers “666” above his right eyebrow.
