LOS ANGELES (CBS) — When Kellilyn Marie watched a good friend deal with breast cancer, while the friend was pregnant, no less…she sprung into action.

Marie created a beauty-products business where many of the proceeds – and remember this is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — go to cancer research.

The makers of Pink Tools donate $1 for every product sold.

For Kellilyn Marie, pushing pink products was just the thing to do. “You can speak to almost anyone,” she says, “and they know who someone who is affected [by breast cancer.]“

On the good news front, Marie’s friend gave birth to a healthy baby and her cancer is also in remission.
