Man Rescued After Falling Onto Metro Red Line Tracks
HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Firefighters Tuesday rescued a man who was trapped between a Metro Red Line train and a platform at a station in Hollywood.
The rescue effort near Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street began shortly after 7 a.m. Two of the tracks were de-energized in the underground site so crews could help the man, a fire official said.
The man was rescued shortly before 8 a.m., and he was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The circumstances of the accident remained under investigation.
