MOUNT BALDY VILLAGE (CBS) — Search teams were using a helicopter, off- road trucks and their feet in a search of the highest reaches of the San Gabriel Mountains for a lost hiker Saturday.

The hiker was reported missing on Mount San Antonio, above Mount Baldy Village, in the morning.

Searchers were concentrating on Falls Road above Icehouse Canyon, on the flanks of the peak known as “Old Mount Baldy.”

The 10,068-foot-high mountain is the highest summit in the San Gabriel range, and the highest spot in Los Angeles County.
