Former All-Star Pitcher Matt Keough Sentenced For DUI

SANTA ANA (AP) — Former All-Star pitcher Matt Keough has been sentenced to a year in jail for driving drunk near his Orange County home.

Keough was sentenced Thursday to a year but got 194 days of credit for time served and good behavior.

He was arrested last year after running a stop sign. His blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.

Keough also pleaded guilty to DUI in 2005 and in 2008 got 180 days in jail for violating probation by drinking.

Keough pitched for the Oakland Athletics from 1977-83, making the 1978 All-Star team. He later played with the New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros.

His estranged wife, Jeana, appeared on TV's "The Real Housewives of Orange County."
