LONG BEACH (CBS) — Two people were hurt Tuesday after a helicopter crashed at Long Beach Airport.
Firefighters were sent to the airport at 12:30 p.m. on the report that a helicopter went down.
An instructor and a student were practicing hovering exercises in the two-seater Robinson R-22 when it hit the ground and rolled over, CBS2/KCAL9 Helicopter Reporter Derek Bell reported.
Some fuel spilled, but firefighters quickly took care of it.
Both occupants were taken to a hospital for treatment.
