Teen Shot At Elementary School In Fullerton

FULLERTON — A 14-year old boy remains hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in an apparent gang attack at a school Saturday.

Police say the shooting occurred at Topaz Elementary School in Fullerton.

The boy was apparently playing with some friends on the playground when a young man approached them, shouted a gang slogan and opened fire, Fullerton police Sgt. Andrew Goodrich said. 

The victim, whose name was withheld, was shot three times in the chest, Goodrich said.

The suspect ran to a car parked at Topaz Lane and Sapphire Road, and drove off.
