FBI On The Hunt For 'Green Tattoo' Bandit

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The FBI is asking the public's help to identify a bank robber they have dubbed the "Green Tattoo" bandit.

They believe this bank robber struck at least two banks.

He garnered the nickname "Green Bandit" because witnesses say he has green/reddish tattoos on the back of his neck.

The suspect is believed to have struck the same bank three years apart.

The most recent crime occured on September 9th at a Bank of America in La Crescenta.

He haded the teller a note demanding she follow his instructions with a warning printed "I will shoot you" in case she didn't comply.

The suspect reportedly fled on foot.

Investigators believe the same man was responsible for robbing the same branch in November 2007.

The Green Tattoo bandit is described as Hispanic or Caucasian, male, about 35 years of age, 6 feet, 200 pounds. He is also described as having an athletic build, light complexion and short black hair.

Anyone with information about the Green Tattoo bandit is asked to call the FBI in Los Angeles at 310-477-6565 or toll free at 888 CANT HIDE (888-226-8443).
