Man Gets 202 Years For Killing 2 Teens At Birthday Party

LONG BEACH (AP) — A 19-year-old Long Beach man has been sentenced to 202 years in state prison for gunning down two teenagers at a birthday party in 2008.

Izac McCloud was sentenced Thursday after he was prosecuted as an adult for the murders he committed at age 16.

McCloud was convicted of two counts of second-degree murder and 46 counts of assault with a firearm last month.

His co-defendant, 22-year-old Jonzel Stringer, was also convicted and will be sentenced on Nov. 16.

Prosecutors say Stringer got into a fight with gang rivals at the party.

McCloud and Stringer then fired into the crowd, where prosecutors say 46 partygoers were in the "kill zone." A 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg.
