Some Classes Suspended At LA County Police Academy

WHITTIER (AP) — A possible breach in test security has forced the suspension of some classes at a Los Angeles County police academy.

The California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training said Tuesday that certification of some basic police academy training courses at Rio Hondo College has been suspended until further notice.

A cadet told KFI News that at least one question on a study guide provided by a staff member matched, word for word, a question on an official test.

In a statement, the commission said certification of the center's arrest and firearms courses, among others, have been suspended, but in-service training is not affected.

The commission says the suspension will remain in effect until the situation is resolved.
