Rain To Continue, Flooding Possible Wednesday

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Intermittent showers were expected to continue Wednesday, with rainfall totals of one to two inches possible by evening in parts of western Los Angeles County, according to the National Weather Service.

A flood advisory expired at 5:30 a.m., but showers are expected to remain stationary and could contribute to urban and small stream flooding, according to the Weather Service.

"Agoura Hills and the Malibu area, they are probably going to get a half-inch or more by later today," National Weather Service meteorologist Curt Kaplan said. "We'll see what develops."

Light to moderate showers were expected to affect most areas in Los Angeles County through the morning hours.

"Motorists in the region should be prepared for wet driving conditions with ponding of low-lying roadways possible," Kaplan said.

The Weather Service also advised motorists to slow down to avoid hydroplaning.
