LOS ANGELES (AP) — The first measurable rain of fall has left thousands of Southern Californians without electricity utility crews are making repairs in dozens of neighborhoods.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power says 13,500 customers are without power Tuesday morning, down from 32,000 Monday night. The bulk of the outages are in South Los Angeles and the city’s Koreatown and Hyde Park areas.
Southern California Edison reports 13,000 customers without power in cities ranging from Whittier to Santa Barbara.
More rain is forecast through Wednesday.
