Search To Resume For Missing Skydiver

PERRIS (CBS) — A search for a missing skydiver in the Inland Empire is expected to resume Sunday.

Vladimir Frolov, a Russian tourist, was reported missing Thursday after a skydiving company employee noticed his car still in the parking lot.

An acquaintance also called the business when 50-year-old Frolov failed to show up for a meeting, sheriff's Deputy Herlinda Valenzuela said.

It was unknown whether Frolov, who parachuted out of the plane without a partner between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. last Saturday, was injured in the jump or walked away.

Frolov had been staying at a motel in Canyon Lake and was traveling alone, the deputy said.

Searches of the area on Friday and Saturday have turned up no new clues.
