Trojans Looking For Payback Against Huskies

SEATTLE (AP) -- It's been a rare occurrence in recent seasons when Washington has been a target of revenge.

But that's clearly the case this week as the Huskies return from their bye and head to No. 18 Southern California.

Soon after the Trojans finished their rout of Washington State last Saturday, players and coach Lane Kiffin freely admitted they've been looking forward to the fifth week of the season and another shot at the Huskies.

A year ago, Washington started to chip away at some of the USC mystique with a 16-13 win in Seattle over the then-No. 3 Trojans.

USC quarterback Matt Barkley did not play in that game, out with an injury.

Washington coach Steve Sarkisian says he's flattered the Trojans are hyped about playing the Huskies, but he's more focused on this being the start of Pac-10 play.
