'Wall Street' Leads Market With $19 Million Debut

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Movie fans are investing in Michael Douglas and Oliver Stone's "Wall Street" sequel.

"Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" debuted as the No. 1 weekend movie with $19 million, leading a crop of so-so to weak newcomers.

The sequel to 1987's "Wall Street" sequel reunites director Stone and Douglas, who reprises his role as investment shark Gordon Gekko. The movie co-stars Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan and Josh Brolin in a tale set amid the 2008 economic meltdown.

The animated adventure "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole" opened in second place with $16.3 million. The mother-daughter comedy "You Again" debuted at No. 5 with an anemic $8.3 million.
