Redondo Beach Teacher Pleads Guilty To Lewd Conduct

TORRANCE (AP) — A Southern California high school teacher has pleaded guilty to exposing himself to a teenage student while they were alone in a classroom.

Louis Jay Haddad, a 50-year-old teacher at Redondo Union High School, entered the plea Tuesday to one count of misdemeanor lewd conduct. Redondo Beach city prosecutor Brenda Wells refused to disclose terms of the plea deal until sentencing Oct. 20.

The Daily Breeze in Torrance says Haddad was arrested on Dec. 3 after a 16-year-old student said the media arts teacher exposed himself while they were alone in a classroom.

Two other girls came forward after the arrest and he was facing trial for three misdemeanor counts of annoying or molesting a child and a single count of indecent exposure.
