Jurors Hear Gallo's Police Interview In Adenhart Trial

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The man accused of murder in the collision that killed Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart and two others told police afterward that he blanked out driving home from a bar.

Orange County prosecutors played a videotape of the interview Monday in the murder case against 23-year-old Andrew Gallo.

Gallo told police he only remembered the crash as a blur and did not know how it happened. After being told by police that three people were killed, Gallo said he had done a horrible thing.

The April 2009 crash occurred at a Fullerton intersection just hours after the 22-year-old Adenhart pitched six scoreless innings in his Angels season debut. Two of his companions died and another was critically injured.
