Mother’s Boyfriend Held In Death Of 5-Year-Old Girl

INGLEWOOD (AP) — Police in Inglewood have arrested a man in the death of a 5-year-old girl who died after officers found her unconscious in a bathtub.

Inglewood police said in a statement Friday that coroner’s investigators determined the girl had been killed Thursday by blunt force trauma to her head, and detectives called the death a homicide.

Twenty-four-year-old Solomon Douglas Walters was arrested Friday on suspicion of murder.

Officers and paramedics had been called to an extended-stay hotel Thursday with a report of a child not breathing. They performed CPR but could not revive her, and she was declared dead at a hospital.

Police Friday described Walters as the boyfriend of the dead girl’s mother.

Is sad that a child was killed. Simply because the mother did not spend time falling in love with her self. Women WAKE UP! If we do not love ourselves first it is impossible to love anyone else. To many women need a man to validate them. Smh. Does another child have to die due to our lack of self love?

My goodness would you shut up? Stop trying to defend the mother who should also be held accountable. You do not have to be there to know what happen. A child is dead and that is the focus. Too bad the mother was not focusing on her child then she might still be alive.

The point here are not the parents, because as we could see they were not capable of proctecting their child. The point here again like we are seeing again and again is that a child was murdered. There must be something done by our system to proctect these little angels. Give these people life in prison, or the death penalty, not just 5 years in prison or 15. Give them what they deserve.

The Mother of the child is my niece. The murdered child was Miamor Isabel Steen. The person that murdered her was not the Mother but someone that she entrusted to care for her daughter while she worked 6 days a week to keep them off the streets. Dont be judgemental of the mother before you judge the murderer.
