SAN BERNARDINO (AP) — Police say a Southern California man repeatedly plunged a knife into his 64-year-old mother, killing her, during an argument over her personal hygiene and cleanliness of the home they shared.

Antonio Uribes has been booked for investigation of murder.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise says deputies called to the San Bernardino home late Monday found the body of Emma Uribes in the living room.

Sgt. Dave Dillon says the woman’s sister told detectives her 35-year-old brother stabbed her repeatedly with a large knife. Antonio Uribes was arrested a short time later at a nearby park.

Investigators say Uribes told them he had been frustrated with his mother over her hygiene and the cleanliness of the home.

Duran says the mother, son and daughter lived in the home.

Um wait…I’m confused. More poor reporting here.
Thewoman’s sister said her brother did it? Or did you mean the woman’s daughter said her brother did it?

Thank you, crystal!!!! Perhaps this reporter needs a course in genealogy. If the mother was stabbed by her son, but the mother’s sister says her brother commited the crime, doesn’t that meen she was stabbed by her nephew????? JUST ASKIN”

A 35 year old man still living with his mother, she doesn’t clean the house…does this guy work? Bettcha he doesn’t, but even if he did, he lives there to so how about he just doing some cleaning himself instead of killing his mother. Boy, there are some real sick puppies out there today.

If anyone has read the previous reports on the murder of this woman, Sgt. Dillon has been consistent in saying that the woman’s daughter said her brother did it. If there is bad reporting here, I doubt it came from the wording by Sgt. Dillon.
