Flying High With Josh Rubenstein

Wednesday morning, meteorologist Josh Rubenstein (That's "Chief Meteorologist," to you. -Ed.)  and I were in the studio, looking at the view from our live camera at LAX. I said "There's Runway 24."  Josh politely pointed out that pilots don't say '24,' they say '2-4.'

I pay attention to Josh, because he's a certified pilot. Or at least he says he is. He has flown people all around, so that probably means he's not faking it. He has all kinds of other certifications, too, like that meteorology thingy, and a hall monitor sash.  Next, I'll try to find out why pilots don't say '24.'  Maybe it was because I was looking at Runway 25.
