Four Day Countdown To The 2010 L.A. County Fair
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Visit the L.A. County Fair this weekend for amazing exhibits, entertainment and the best eats you’ll find in all of L.A. County at an affordable price.
Don’t miss $1 admission on Opening Weekend from 10am-1pm, as well as countless discount tickets and constant promotions for a reduced price, every day through Oct. 3!
The L.A. County Fair is always an educational experience and new for 2010 is Our Body: The Universe Within. This exhibit provides the opportunity for visitors to learn about the fascinating interworkings of the human body and is a wonderful way to teach kids about developing healthy lifestyle habits.
One of the well-known guidelines for healthy eating is to enjoy a variety of foods — and the Fair is the perfect place to taste-test! In addition to the many “sometimes foods,” such as mouthwatering deep fried specialties, there is plenty of healthy, scrumptious food as well!
Grilled mahi mahi, steamed artichoke, homemade hummus, corn on the cob and refreshing fruit smoothies can all be found on the Fairgrounds to keep it light before you enjoy a spin on the two-story Venetian Carousel.
Those looking for some anti-oxidants and resveratrol can enjoy both, as they sip the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits award winners.
Heart-healthy and anti-aging, this year’s winning wines are the perfect way to wind down a day.
With the average Fair guest easily walking over 4,000 steps while exploring the fairgrounds, the L.A. County Fair is the perfect destination for those looking for a little entertainment to accompany their daily dose of physical activity. What better way to burn calories than a stroll alongside life-sized animatronic dinosaurs at Jurassic Planet or flying down a zip-line at A Pirate’s Life, then cooling off in the brand-new L.A. on Ice exhibit?
Be on the look-out for the best work-out accessories from more than 600 vendors featuring new, must-have items and returning favorites. You’ll find everything from belly-dancing belts and Liquid Gel insoles to a Chiropractic exam!
Pure fun for the whole family! The L.A. County Fair runs Sept. 4-Oct. 3, 2010 and is closed Mondays and Tuesdays (except opening weekend).
