Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor Rushed Back To Hospital
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to a hospital Tuesday after her husband found the 93-year-old actress unresponsive at their home. She was stabilized and her condition was not considered life-threatening, according to publicists for the actress and her daughter.
The Hungarian-born, glamour-loving actress’ condition deteriorated after she underwent hip-replacement surgery after she broke her hip while trying to get into her wheelchair.
Gabor, who has to use a wheelchair after a 2002 car accident and a 2005 stroke, was originally expected to spend one week in the hospital but ended up being there four weeks, said von Anhalt.
“She’s not a young chick anyone,” he said. “She’s 93 years old. This time, she was scared. We have been married 24 years. She’s been in the hospital a few times, but she was never scared. She always smiled and said, ‘Don’t worry. Everything is going to be OK.’ She was scared because of her age and the big operation.”
Shortly after noon on Tuesday, a publicist for Gabor’s daughter, Francesca Hilton, said Gabor was stable.
