Redlands Teen Suspected In 100 Burglaries

REDLANDS, Calif. (AP)— Authorities say a 15-year-old Redlands boy may be responsible for more than 100 burglaries and three auto thefts over the past five months.

Redlands police say the teen, a suspected gang member, was arrested Friday after attempting to break into cars in office parking lots. He had been released from juvenile hall just three days earlier and was in possession of stolen electronic equipment.

After interviewing the boy, investigators linked him to more than 40 burglaries and say he may be responsible for 60 more, including three car thefts.

He was transported back to juvenile hall. His name was not released because he is a minor.
